Kobe Rodgers
Kobe Rodgers is a transfer who came over in the portal last season. He came from Charleston to reunite with coach Kelsey, but he redshirted all of last season due to a knee injury he suffered in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
In the last season he played, Rodgers averaged 9.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. He shot 50 percent from the field, and his season-high was 24 points. Louisville basketball may work him back slowly, due to the injury and his absence from the previous season. Rodgers will play a key role off the bench for the Cardinals, and Louisville fans know how crucial it is to have solid options off the bench, as this team needed that last season.
He will be the backup for star newcomer Mikel Brown Jr, and will make his life easy this season. Rodgers could be a good mentor for Brown this season, and he can show him the way Kelsey wants to play ball. With these two, Louisville basketball will always have a guard you can trust with the ball on the court.
