3. Clev Lubin
Clev Lubin had maybe the best season out of any defensive player last year. The Coastal Carolina transfer didn’t skip a beat when he made the jump to the ACC and a Power Four conference. He earned a whopping team-high 8.5 sacks on the year, three pass deflections, and three forced fumbles. He earned 59 tackles in 2025, which ranked fourth on the team.
With Louisville moving on from Mark Hagen and Ron English in 2026, it will be interesting to see if that affects the Cards players. A lot of times, when coaches are fired or leave, players follow or enter the portal. Lubin has the chance to enter the NFL Draft, but if he decides to play one more year of football, Brohm has to make sure he stays a Cardinal. Louisville has already lost AJ Green to the portal, and the thought of losing both Lubin and Green is disastrous.
