2. TJ Capers
TJ Capers entered the portal last offseason but ultimately decided to return to Louisville for his redshirt sophomore season. The former 5-star commit is currently on Louisville's roster as one of the top defenders returning to the team, provided he does not re-enter the transfer portal. With TJ Quinn leaving for the draft, Capers is expected to step up as the star LB for the Cardinals' defense.
However, with defensive changes to the Louisville coaching staff, he is once again on transfer watch. Capers is a huge part of this defense, logging 46 tackles, one pass deflection, and his interception against Miami, which sealed the win over the Hurricanes. Louisville will have to prioritize Capers and Lubin this offseason and avoid these two stars joining AJ Green in the portal.
