No. 2 Duke Watson

Duke Watson, along with Isaac Brown, came into this season as among the top running backs in the country, and Louisville was expected to have one of the best rushing offenses in the country. While Louisville has run the ball effectively in a couple of games this season, it struggled against Pitt, gaining only 53 yards on the ground. The same can be said about Isaac Brown, except Brown has had multiple 100-yard games to go along with three total touchdowns as well.

Watson led the team in rushing yards last week against Pitt, but has accounted for 62 yards all season so far. Watson had 597 yards and seven touchdowns last season. At some point this season, he will get going for Louisville; it is just a matter of time.

With Brown not being at full health the past few weeks, the fans are looking at Watson to get his due, even though they are both slated to play against Virginia. Don't be surprised if Watson records his first touchdown against Virginia this weekend, and for him to finally get it going on the ground in 2025.
