4. Stanquan Clark
Louisville’s linebacker room is loaded with talent and experience as the Cardinals found a way to keep Antonio Watts, TJ Capers, and Stanquan Clark while also adding former Louisville Cardinal Benjamin Perry. This group has tons of potential playing behind Louisville’s lethal defensive line, and while they lost TJ Quinn, they will expect Clark to step up and be that new leader.
The Cardinals fans are stoked to see the key senior return for his final season, as he has been a key piece of this Cardinals defense for multiple years now. Last year, he was a starter before he went down with a leg injury that kept him on the sideline for the majority of the season after Week 2. He ended the year with 19 tackles in five games, but the year before, he was second on the team with 76 tackles, while adding two pass deflections, two forced fumbles, and two interceptions.
Louisville’s defense gets a huge boost from Clark returning and riding it out with Brohm one last time. He is expected to be the leader of this younger but experienced linebacker room. The Cards have high expectations for this group, but the biggest key is for everyone to stay healthy.
