2. Corey Gordon Jr. | S | Kansas
Of these five players, Corey Gordon Jr. entering the portal and finding a new home was the biggest sting. The former Cardinal played for Jeff Brohm and the Louisville Cardinals for just one season after he transferred to the Cards last offseason. He started his career at Baylor, where he logged a combined 67 tackles, six pass breakups, and three interceptions in two seasons, and committed to Louisville via the 2025 Transfer Portal.
After earning three starts last year and playing in 11 games, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound safety entered the Transfer Portal. Louisville already lost its two starters from 2025, D'Angelo Hutchinson and JoJo Evans, to graduation, and now it has lost a key piece of its safety rotation in Gordon to the portal.
Gordon recently committed to Kansas after earning the sixth most tackles on Louisville last season, with 53 tackles, and added two pass breakups. Gordon commits to the Jayhawks as the No. 885 overall prospect in the portal and the No. 83 safety in the portal.
