Louisville has to win
This one is short and sweet; Louisville football has to win. This team cannot suffer losses to the caliber of opponents like Cal if it wants to make a run this season. The Cardinals are not in the driver’s seat, as they still need to rely on a few things to go their way to have a shot at an ACC title.
That being said, they clearly have the talent to go out and blow the doors off the Golden Bears. The Cards have notoriously started games slowly this season, so to remove any doubt, they will need to pounce on Cal early in the ballgame. Louisville football has to take these games one at a time and not look ahead.
Their last loss came at the hands of a good Virginia team, but they let that one get away from them. Louisville fans and the program are aware that Clemson is coming to town next week, and despite the Tigers' struggles this year, Louisville football will still have to bring its A-game and perform to the best of its abilities. Moral of the story: The Cards have to win.
