4. Lamar Wilkerson
Lamar Wilkerson is one of the best shooters in this year's transfer portal. Last year, he made 3.4 threes per game on an impressive 44.5 percent from beyond the arc. He made 109 3-pointers in his senior campaign, which ended up being the No. 12 most made threes in the country.
He averaged 20.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.1 assists while shooting 47.7 percent from the floor. His senior collegiate season was remarkable as he was in the top ten in the nation for his 3-point percentage and average threes per game. He also scored 20 points or more in 17 games, including his career-high 32-point performance against New Mexico State. He shot 70 percent from downtown that game, making an impressive seven 3-pointers in that game
Wilkerson became one of the best sharpshooters in the nation last season as he splashed three or more threes in a single game 20 times, and five or more threes in a single game eight times. His season-high was eight threes in a single game last year.
He is an intelligent basketball player who can find open space on the floor to be a lethal catch-and-shoot shooter. He also has the skills to knock down shots from the outside off the dribble. The ability to make 3.4 threes per game, but while doing it at such a high level, is why he must be one of Kelsey's priority targets this offseason.
The transfer guard out of Sam Houston is expected to be heavily recruited by SEC giants and test the NBA Draft waters, so it will be an uphill battle to land him. However, he is the perfect role player that Kelsey wants to play alongside Mikel Brown Jr. and should be a legitimate target for next season.
