Louisville football just landed one of the best wide receivers from the portal this morning as Tre Richardson committed to Louisville, boosting the Cardinals up to 19 total commitments. Louisville was in dire need of an elite receiver this offseason after losing six receivers from the 2025 season.
Richardson provides a massive spark to this loaded offense, as now he will join Isaac Brown, Lincoln Kienholz, and company in 2026. Richardson ranks as high as No. 53 in the portal and is the No. 12-ranked wide receiver. He is an elite kickoff returner with his incredible speed, and was one of the best receivers in the SEC last year.
The Cardinals' offseason has been among the best in the nation, as On3 Sports ranks it No. 4. Now that Louisville has earned Richardson’s commitment, the Cardinals still have some work to do, and the portal remains open for another week.
