4. Francis Brewu | DT | Pitt
Someone who would be perfect for this dominant defensive line is Pitt transfer Francis Brewu. Now, yes, it feels like he is a lock to either Notre Dame or Tennessee, but this is a wish list, and the point of adding him is that the Cardinals still need to add a defensive tackle.
Although Louisville has strengthened its edge-rushers this offseason, adding players like Jerod Smith and Tyler Thompson and retaining Clev Lubin and AJ Green, the most pressing need now remains defensive tackle. Louisville football lost its two-star defensive tackles, Rene Konga and Jordan Guerad, because of eligibility, and is now trying to replace its former starters.
Konga and Guerad each had two sacks, and Konga added five pass deflections, and Guerad added an interception and a forced fumble. Brewu would be the dream replacement for the Cardinals' former DTs as he ranks No. 42 in the portal and the fifth best defensive lineman, but if the Cards want any chance they must act fast.
