The first round of the NFL Draft wrapped up last night from Green Bay, Wisc, and rounds two and three will take place tonight at 7 p.m. local time. Former Louisville football quarterback Tyler Shough remains on the board, and according to most mock drafts, he is projected to be selected tonight.

There were two quarterbacks taken in round one, as Cam Ward went No.1 overall to the Tennessee Titans and the New York Giants traded up to pick No. 25 to take Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart. The top three available quarterbacks left in the draft are Shedeur Sanders, Jalen Milroe, and Shough.

The former Cardinal quarterback saw his draft stock skyrocket throughout the draft process, with some claiming he is the best quarterback in this draft. Many fans are wondering where he can end up and if their favorite team will take a shot on him. So, here are five possible landing spots for former Louisville football quarterback Tyler Shough after the first round of the NFL Draft.

5 possible NFL destinations for Louisville football's Tyler Shough after the first round of the NFL Draft

5. Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts have picks No. 45 and 80 tonight. The Colts have the former No. 4 overall pick in the 2023 draft, Anthony Richardson, and signed Daniel Jones this past offseason. Neither of these options appears to be the long-term solution for the Colts. Indianapolis soured on Richardson's attitude last season and ultimately benched him for Joe Flacco. The Colts finished with an 8-9 record last season. They have not made the playoffs since the 2020 season. Tyler Shough can be the mature option at quarterback they desperately need, along with the No.14 pick, Tyler Warren, and All-Pro running back Jonathan Taylor.

4. New York Jets

The Aaron Rodgers experiment is officially over in New York. The Jets have had a revolving door at quarterback for what seems like forever. Justin Fields signed with the Jets this past offseason. This will be his field's third team in three seasons. Fields showed improvement last year in Pittsburgh, but it wasn't enough. The Steelers were not willing to pay him what he wanted. If the Jets were to take Shough, then he would have some legit players to help him out. He would have two young, promising weapons in Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall. New York also went with offensive tackle Armand Membou with the No.7 pick in the draft. The Jets will have picks No. 42 and 73. Can Shough be the savior in New York?

3. Las Vegas Raiders

Las Vegas might be the most interesting option on this list. Pete Carroll and Geno Smith came over from Seattle in the offseason. The Raiders selected rookie tight end standout Brock Bowers in last year's draft and Heisman runner-up Ashton Jeanty with the No.6 pick last night. Tyler Shough could come into Vegas and learn behind veteran quarterback Geno Smith for a year. Shough could easily compete for the starting job after one year behind Smith. The future would look very bright with the core of Shough, Bowers, and Jeanty. The Raiders will have picks No. 37 and 68 tonight.

2. New Orleans Saints

New Orleans has been rumored for weeks now to take Shedeur Sanders with pick No. 9 in the first round. They opted to go in a different direction. Then the rumors started of them trading back into the first round to select Sanders or Jaxson Dart. Which also did not happen, but the prospect of New Orleans taking a quarterback is absolutely there. With the offseason drama with Derek Carr and new head coach Kellen Moore, the Saints are looking towards a fresh start in New Orleans. The Saints have three picks throughout rounds two and three. Those picks include No. 40, 71, and 93. They will have three chances to pair Tyler Shough with Chris Olave and Alvin Kamara.

1. Cleveland Browns

Cleveland has no true number one option at quarterback going into the 2025 NFL season. Their quarterback room consists of 40 year-old Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett. Tyler Shough could immediately become a starter in Cleveland if they go that route. The Browns don't have the offensive weapons that other teams have on this list, but they are the most likely team to give Shough the starting job right away. The Browns will kick off the second round tonight with the No. 33 pick. They will also have pick No.36, which they acquired from Jacksonville in last night's blockbuster trade at the beginning of the draft.
