Thomas Dowd

Someone, Louisville basketball has already reached out to and would be a great addition, is Thomas Dowd. The Troy transfer is a stretch-four and would bring not only height and size but also 3-point shooting to Louisville’s frontcourt.

Dowd is coming off an All-Sun Belt First-Team season after averaging a double-double with 14.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 1.2 steals per game. He earned 17 double-doubles this past season, including a 25-point and 19-rebound performance against San Diego State. He scored 20 points or more in six games and made 68 3-pointers while shooting 33.3 percent from downtown.

The 6-foot-8, 225-pound forward is hearing from big-time programs like Auburn and Tennessee. The 4-star transfer ranks as high as No. 69 overall and No. 17 among power forwards.
