1. Alec Johnson
Georgia State center Alec Johnson is entering the transfer portal with one year of eligibility remaining. Johnson might not have much time to improve if he were to join the Cardinals, but it doesn’t seem like the former Panthers’ center needs to.
Johnson has appeared in 36 games in his college career and started in 20 of them, and this past year, the center didn’t allow a single sack. Johnson would be a great addition this offseason, as the starting center, Pete Nygra, is graduating.
Rivals currently has Johnson ranked as the ninth-best interior offensive lineman in the transfer portal. Making sure the offensive line is ready to make holes for guys like Isaac Brown next year will be a key thing to address in this year’s transfer portal window. If the Cardinals can acquire Johnson, they’ll add to an already sound foundation that they have.
