4. The Cardinals find the open man
It would be easy for the Louisville Cardinals just to let one of their stars go to work and win them games. However, the Cardinals know they are better as a team, and don’t think twice about finding the open man and making sure the best shot is taken.Â
This is evident in the Cardinals ranking fifth in the nation in assists per game. In seven games, the Louisville squad averages 20.7 assists per game, and, like many of its stats, the wealth is shared. Freshman star Mikel Brown Jr. leads the charge for the Cardinals as he averages six assists per game, but Aly Khalifa is not far behind with 3.4 a game.
The Cardinals' ability to share the ball and find the open man makes them deadly at any point of the game. If the Cardinals can replicate this on Wednesday, then Arkansas will be in trouble.
