The Cardinals needed someone who could affect the game on the defensive end in the paint last year, and one of the top rim protectors recently entered the Transfer Portal. With Kelsey having Charleston connections and the Cougars' star center entering the transfer portal, it wouldn’t be shocking if Louisville were involved with Chol Machot.

The 7-foot center was the CAA Defensive Player of the Year this past season after his 79 total blocks ranked No. 9 in Division I basketball, and his 2.5 blocks per game ranked No. 10 in Division I basketball. The 4-star transfer also averaged 8.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game and shot 59.2 percent from the field.
The Cards need someone who can dominate the game defensively, and while he isn’t a paint bruiser on the offensive end, he can get some big-time stops for Louisville and be a huge spark on the defensive end. He ranks as the No. 2 center in the Transfer Portal and ranks No. 37 overall.
