Louisville football got crushing news this morning as Cardinals fans learned Murray State transfer Dylan Rowsey had re-entered the Transfer Portal after committing and signing with the Cardinals earlier this week. The Murray State transfer was set to play in the Cardinals' secondary and make an immediate impact for Louisville.
The Cardinals lost three of their top four safeties from the 2025 season as D'Angelo Hutchinson and JoJo Evans graduated, and Corey Gordon Jr. recently entered the portal and committed to Kansas. The Cardinals have added two safeties this offseason in Ole Miss transfer TJ Banks and Iowa transfer Koen Entringer, but with Louisville only having four safeties on the roster, and the other two being freshmen, the Cardinals have to go and replace Rowsey.
