Cole Cloer
Someone who could pop up on Louisville’s target list is the 2026 4-star recruit Cole Cloer. With Will Wade leaving North Carolina State for LSU, Cloer was allowed to enter the Transfer Portal, and now the former Louisville target is back on the market.

The 4-star recruit ranked as high as No. 59 in the 2026 class and No. 23 among small forwards. The North Carolina native cut his list to eight schools, where the Cardinals made the list and earned an official visit. However, Louisville didn’t make his final five, where he ultimately committed to NC State over UConn, Florida, Alabama, and North Carolina.
Cloer is a dominant scorer, averaging 20.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game with Caldwell. He earned 1,695 points, 624 rebounds, and 264 assists in three seasons with Caldwell before transferring to IMG Academy. He now ranks No. 8 among small forwards and No. 58 overall.
