The Cardinals fans have many players on their target list, but the glaring No. 1 player is John Blackwell. The Wisconsin transfer is one of the best pure scorers in college basketball and now Louisville and Pat Kelsey are trying to add their second Wisconsin transfer in two years.
The Cards recently made Blackwell’s updated recruiting list as he cut the list to six schools. The Cards are in a heated recruiting battle with UCLA, Illinois, Duke, Alabama, and Arizona, and the Cardinals fans are quickly calling on Chucky Hepburn to recruit his former teammate to Louisville.
Blackwell is ranked as a 5-star transfer and the new best available transfer after Bidunga committed to Louisville. The 5-star transfer ranks No. 2 overall and No. 1 among shooting guards after making 96 3’s on 39 percent shooting from beyond the arc, and averaged 19.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.
