One of the top receivers still available in the Transfer Portal is a familiar face in Syracuse transfer Darrell Gill Jr. The Syracuse transfer entered the Transfer Portal after three seasons with the Orange and being one of their top wide receivers over the past two seasons.
Gill is ranked as high as No. 24 overall and the No. 6 wide receiver in the Transfer Portal. At the moment, he is the eighth-best transfer available and the second-best wide receiver, only behind DeAndre Moore Jr. He entered the portal after recording 70 catches, 1,136 receiving yards, and eight touchdowns in three seasons with Syracuse. Gill earned a career high of 32 catches and five touchdowns this past season, while adding 506 receiving yards. In his sophomore season, he earned a career high of 570 yards, while adding two touchdowns and 31 catches.
Louisville has reached out to Gill but hasn’t earned a visit just yet. The Cardinals are among many programs that have reached out to the Syracuse transfer, as Michigan, Miami, Indiana, Kentucky, and others are also in contact with the 4-star.
