No. 5: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Georgia Tech has spiraled out of control over the past few weeks, and it was only a matter of time until its sloppy play caught up with it.
Georgia Tech got blown out by NC State two weeks ago, had a comeback win over Boston College last week, and lost at home in a blowout loss to Pitt last night. With everything on the line to go to the ACC championship, Tech got down 28-0 to Pitt in the second quarter. While they almost came back and won the game, it was too big a hole for the Yellow Jackets to come back from.
Georgia Tech and Brent Key blew a chance to go to the College Football Playoff, in what has been a disastrous 2025 for this football program.
No. 4: Pitt Panthers
Pitt has handled business against most teams in the ACC, but when they face top-tier competition, they seem to fall behind pretty quickly. Look no further than their loss to Notre Dame last week. However, when it comes to most teams in the ACC, Pitt has taken care of business. They just don't seem to be up to the challenge of taking on the elite of college football.
After starting the season 2-2, the Panthers have rattled off six of their last seven and have a chance to make the ACC Championship game.
