SMU will now most likely try to play spoiler in the ACC race as they host Miami this weekend and Louisville on Nov. 22. The Mustangs don't have an easy schedule to end the year, but could crush some ACC and CFP dreams.
Duke had a bye last week, and the week before was its loss to the Yellow Jackets. The Blue Devils are a solid squad this season, sitting 3-1 in ACC play, but their schedule doesn't get much easier with a road game against Clemson. The Blue Devils need absolute madness to happen to stay alive in the ACC race after their loss, and so now that they host Virginia on Nov. 15, they could play spoiler in the ACC.
Wake Forest caused chaos in the ACC with its 13-12 win over SMU. They are now at Florida State this weekend and then at Virginia. The Deamon Deacons have a chance to play spoiler in a couple of weeks, and they appear to be peaking at the perfect time.
The Panthers are having the complete opposite season as last year. The Panthers started 2-2 after falling to West Virginia and Louisville in consecutive weeks, but they have since rattled off four straight wins in dominant fashion. They sit 6-2 on the season and 4-1 in the ACC, and this week they are 13.5-point favorites at Stanford.
