No. 6: Louisville Cardinals

While Louisville football is currently ranked sixth in the ACC, that is likely to change over the next several weeks. Louisville is one of the better teams in the ACC, and if it wasn't for two terrible plays by Miller Moss against Virginia, they could easily be No. 4.

Louisville has been in three dogfights already this season, and if they didn't shoot themselves in the foot this past weekend, they wouldn't be as far down as they are. The Cardinals will be okay come the end of the season, that is, as long as Miller Moss can take care of the football and preseason star Isaac Brown can get going on the ground.

No. 5: Duke Blue Devils

Duke has been an interesting team so far this season, as they started the season very sloppy and seemed to be one of the hardest teams to gauge in the ACC this season. However, the blue devils have quietly rattled off three blowout ACC wins in a row over NC State, Syracuse, and Cal in the past three weeks.

If it wasn't for the debacle against Tulane, Duke could easily be 5-1 and possibly ranked in the top 25. The odd thing about a Manny Diaz-coached team is that the offense is the part of the team that is truly dominating (not taking away from Duke's scrappy defense, either.)

The question for Duke will be whether they can keep up with the Miami and Georgia Techs of the conference. Since the last time they played a top-25 team, they were blown out at home by Illinois.
