No. 4 Florida State Seminoles
Florida State is at an interesting inflection point in its season so far, as they are coming off back-to-back losses after being ranked as high as No. 8 in the rankings.
FSU has had the challenging task of taking on Virginia and Miami, though, which are proving to be some of the best teams in the ACC. The Noles got whipped by their rival Miami this past Saturday inside Doak Campbell, and while they may be one of the better teams in the ACC, they need to get back in the win column if they want to be atop the ACC standings come November.
No. 3: Virginia Cavaliers
The Virginia Cavaliers are getting their flowers after following up their win over Florida State with a statement road win over Louisville in overtime this past Saturday.
The Cavaliers struggled offensively on the road against the Cardinals, but their defense came up big with two defensive touchdowns. Virginia has proved to be resilient in the past two weeks and has never faltered when it comes down to crunch time. If they can maintain this brand of football, it is a given that they will be playing for the ACC championship after the season is over.
