No. 7: NC State Wolfpack
North Carolina State falls into the same category that Virginia finds itself in. They have played well so far, but haven't shown it against tough competition. Which isn't a fault of their own, but because of their weak schedule so far this season.
The only reason NC State has an edge over Virginia Tech is that they have dominated every game more effectively than Virginia Tech has.
The Wolfpack currently leads the nation in points per game with 106.0 points per game. Will Wade has NC State rolling so far this season, but we will have to wait to see if this season is a return to form for the Wolfpack.
No. 6: Wake Forest Demon Deacons
Wake Forest was another ACC team last week that took a top ten team down to the wire. They went to #6 Michigan for a hard-fought game, only to lose 85-84.
Wake Forest also took care of business against the low-level competition they faced prior to this game, and as usual with Steve Forbes's teams, they look like a high-tempo team to be wary of in the ACC.
