One of the most surprising games of the weekend was the way Florida State absolutely dominated Wake Forest. The Seminoles are finally able to snap their four-game losing streak after their 42-7 win over the Demon Deacons. Florida State is 4-4 on the season and now has two impressive wins over Alabama and Wake Forest.
Cal had a home game against No. 15 Virginia this weekend, and while they were able to hang around and make the game close, the Cavaliers' rushing attack proved too much, leading to a 31-21 victory. Cal is now 5-4 on the season after starting 4-1.
Clemson fell short to Duke in a crushing way as the Tigers were up by seven with under a minute remaining, but Duke's gutsy decision to go for two after scoring a touchdown with 40 seconds remaining gave the Blue Devils a massive 46-45 win over Clemson in Death Valley. Dabo Swinney and his Tigers continue to have a disappointing season, falling to 3-5 on the year after being one of the top favorites to win the National Title entering the season.
