No. 18: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Georgia Tech continues to astonish the world of college basketball with how bad they have been in the past two months. Georgia Tech has lost its last 10 games, and if you dig even deeper, it has lost 13 of its last 14. Tech played a relatively close game against Florida State this weekend but ultimately lost by 9 points.
Tech won't even be able to play in the ACC tourney this year, since they are currently dead last in the standings and will not be able to climb any higher after already losing to Notre Dame and Pitt this season. Georgia Tech probably wasn't planning on firing its head coach this season, but after seeing how off the rails 2026 has gone, it may have to pull the plug on Damon Stoudamire.
No. 17: Boston College Eagles
Another contender for the worst ACC team this year has been Boston College, but Earl Grant's squad finally racked up a win this past week against Wake Forest. While they did beat Wake by one point, they followed that up with a 22-point home loss to Miami, which is less than ideal.
It is all about playing for next season at this point for the Eagles, but Earl Grant may not be manning the helm in 2027. Boston College made a couple of NIT tourneys in its first two seasons, but that has been all the success it has had in Boston. At least the Eagles escaped last place in the standings and these power rankings this week.
