No. 14: Wake Forest Demon Deacons
Although Wake Forest beat Syracuse this past weekend, it does not excuse the embarrassing loss to Boston College earlier this week. Wake has been very up and down this season, to say the very least, from one-point losses to Michigan and Texas Tech, to 20+ point losses to Vanderbilt and Oklahoma.
The outlier in all of those games? They were all losses, no matter the score. That has been the problem with Wake all season long, in that they simply cannot find a way to win. Head coach Steve Forbes will need to start looking for answers as they crawl to the end of the season.
No. 13: Syracuse Orange
Syracuse looked to be turning the corner a few weeks ago after beating SMU and Cal, but they have since dropped games to Duke, North Carolina, and Wake Forest. Not to mention their loss to Duke was one of the school's biggest losses in the history of Syracuse basketball.
While it may seem odd that a team that beat Syracuse just a few days ago is behind them, it all links to Wake Forest's absolutely embarrassing loss to Boston College last week. Head coach Adrian Autry may also be looking for a new job next season after likely missing the tournament three years in a row.
