SMU has been on the rise in recent weeks, and with the win against Miami two weeks ago, plus some other ACC victories, SMU could play spoiler in the ACC title race.
The Mustangs were also on bye this weekend, so they didn't have a chance to prove themselves. However, their performances in the past couple weeks have proved that they are a really good football team.
The Mustangs will host the Louisville Cardinals next weekend in a crucial ACC showdown for SMU, as Louisville is out of the race, which means the Mustangs must take care of business and avoid the upset to keep their ACC Championship dreams alive.
