Louisville football had its first bye of the 2025 season this week, but the Cardinals were able to see their ACC Title chances rise. The Cardinals are 2-0 through three weeks of football, and while some fans may be slightly disappointed with the Cardinals' quality of wins, they are quickly realizing a win is a win.

Week 3 had some crazy upsets and some massive implications in the ACC, and Louisville football fans are smiling on this Sunday afternoon. The Cardinals entered the season with the third-best odds to win the ACC, but after Florida State and Georgia Tech's hot start, Louisville dipped in ACC rankings. However, during their bye week, Louisville fans saw their odds slowly rise, and the path to Charlotte is beginning to be clear.

ACC football Title odds through three weeks

The ACC fans saw the Tigers lose their second game in three weeks as Dabo Swinney and Cade Klubnik fell 24-21 to Georgia Tech. In Week 1, ACC fans also saw Florida State stun Alabama, and Miami defeat Notre Dame, making the top of the ACC slightly different than what many experts were expecting.

The Tigers' odds plummet after their Week 3 loss, as they once had +120 odds to win the conference and now have the third-best odds at +600. Florida State and Georgia Tech continue to climb in FanDuel's odds as Florida State is tied with Clemson as they have +600 odds, and the Yellow Jackets now have the second-best odds at +360.

The dominant favorite is now the Miami Hurricanes, as their fans saw their odds skyrocket up from +390 to +170 after their 3-0 start and Clemson's slow start.

After the Tigers and Seminoles, it is then the Louisville Cardinals who round out the top five. Jeff Brohm and his Cardinals saw their odds increase during their bye week, as they now have +950 odds to win their first-ever ACC Title.

The Cardinals do not play Florida State or Georgia Tech, but they do get Clemson at home and Miami on the road. The Cardinals' Week 8 showdown against the Hurricanes is labeled as their season-defining game, and through three weeks of football, it is clear that it is absolutely true.

Miami is the clear team to beat in the ACC as of right now. With Georgia Tech and Florida State on the rise, Louisville must have a statement win like those other two teams, and that Week 8 showdown is the Cardinals' massive opportunity to send a message to the rest of the ACC.
