DJ Waller - DB
The first Kentucky transfer to commit to Louisville was Wildcats defensive back DJ Waller. The 6-foot-3, 203-pound cornerback got the ball rolling this offseason as he wasn’t just the first Kentucky transfer to commit to Louisville, but he was also the first transfer to commit to Louisville this offseason.
The former Kentucky defensive back was a 3-star recruit out of high school after earning 47 tackles, 7.0 tackles for loss, one sack, and one interception his senior season. He went on to commit to Michigan and win the 2023 National Championship with the Wolverines after playing in 11 games, earning 12 tackles and a pass breakup in his true freshman season. After that freshman season, he transferred to Kentucky, where he started in four games and played in seven total, but was limited by an injury. Waller finished that season with 13 tackles and two pass breakups.
He now transfers to Louisville after playing in only two games this past season and recording one tackle and one pass breakup. He ranks No. 709 overall and No. 72 among cornerbacks in the Transfer Portal.
