Jerod Smith II - DL

Right after Jacob Smith committed to Louisville, his brother, Jerod Smith II, also committed. Jerod was ranked higher than his brother coming out of high school, and is ranked higher in all Transfer Portal rankings as well. Jerod, like his brother, played his senior season for the Corbin Redhounds, where he earned an impressive 90 tackles and a team-high 20 tackles for loss.

Smith went on to be ranked No. 89 in the nation and No. 9 among edge rushers in the 2024 recruiting class, and committed to Kentucky over elite college football programs like Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Texas, Notre Dame, and others. The 6-foot-4, 275-pound edge rusher commits to Louisville after having two solid seasons with the Wildcats.

In his true freshman season, he logged seven tackles and a tackle for loss, and this past season, he took a jump, earning 27 tackles, five tackles for a loss, a forced fumble, and one sack. He commits to Louisville, ranked No. 640 overall and No. 68 among edge rushers in the Transfer Portal.
