The 2025 NFL Draft officially concluded on Saturday, meaning the free agency period is set to begin. Louisville football saw three of its players get drafted throughout the three-day draft. Quarterback Tyler Shough was the first Cardinal to be drafted with the No. 40 overall pick by the New Orleans Saints. Ashton Gillote was next to go in the third round to the Kansas City Chiefs, and on the last day, Louisville's lockdown cornerback Quincy Riley was drafted in the fourth round, as he will join Shough in New Orleans.

Now that the NFL Draft is over, NFL teams are reaching out to undrafted players and signing them or inviting them to their mini-camps. The Cardinals saw seven players either sign with or be invited to an NFL team's mini-camp.

The list below is an updated version of every former Cardinal who has signed with an NFL team as an undrafted free agent or has been invited to an NFL team's minicamp.

It took longer than expected, but the Cardinals' leading receiver in 2024 finally found a home. Ja'Corey Brooks was thought to be possibly a day two pick, but in the worst-case scenario, a day three pick. He would end up going undrafted, and then it took until late Monday afternoon for the Washington Commanders to finally sign him.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound wide receiver was just the eleventh player to achieve 1,000 receiving yards in a season and was just the fourth player to have 1,000 receiving yards and nine receiving touchdowns in a single season.

Brooks transferred from Alabama, and in his only season as a Cardinal, he earned All-ACC First Team honors after being one of the most dominant receivers in the ACC. His 1,013 receiving yards and nine receiving touchdowns not only led Louisville but also placed him third in the ACC.

Mark Redman, the Louisville Cardinals No. 1 tight end option last season, signed with the Los Angeles Rams. Redman played in just one season with Jeff Brohm and the Cardinals but instantly made an impact as he started in all 13 games and led the tight end room in catches and receiving yards.

The transfer from San Diego State logged 24 catches for 256 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns in his lone season with the Cardinals. The 6-foot-5, 255-pound tight end stats ranked in the top four in all three categories and ranked No. 3 for his receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.

The first Cardinal to get signed was one of their best corners from last season, Corey Thornton. The UCF transfer site spent just one season playing under Jeff Brohm as he played his first four seasons with the Knights. However, in his lone season as a Cardinal, the 6-foot-1, 195-pound cornerback made an immediate impact as he started in 12 of 13 games and earned some All-ACC honors.

Last season, Thornton secured 38 tackles; 27 were solo, six pass deflections, and two interceptions. His two interceptions tied with Quincy Riley as the most by a Cardinal, and his six pass deflections were only behind Riley's nine pass deflections. The Carolina Panthers signed Thornton after being undrafted.
