Louisville added two more Kentucky transfers last night, and the star of the two is Jerod Smith II. The former 4-star recruit out of high school committed to Kentucky over elite programs like Notre Dame and Alabama after being ranked as high as No. 89 in the 2024 recruiting class. Now, he is one of the eight commitments on Tuesday and is expected to have an immediate impact in 2026.
The 6-foot-4, 275-pound defensive linemen is coming off his best season after earning 27 tackles, five tackles for a loss, a forced fumble, and a sack. He is a top-400 transfer in the portal, ranked as high as No. 326, and is the No. 25 best defensive lineman.
