The Transfer Portal window is officially closed, which means anyone who entered the portal and wanted to transfer had to submit the paperwork by midnight on Friday, January 16. Louisville football saw 29 Cardinals enter the portal in that window, but avoided any disastrous situations and losing a major piece like Isaac Brown or AJ Green.
During those two weeks, Louisville had one of the best offseasons in the nation, ranking No. 4 by On3 Sports and No. 15 by 247Sports. Louisville was able to recruit from within and avoid its stars from 2025 entering the Transfer Portal, but it also added some big-time pieces.
Jeff Brohm and Vince Marrow have had a masterclass this offseason, adding 27 players so far, with 18 commitments in the first week of the portal window and nine in the second. The first week was highlighted by quarterback Lincoln Kienholz, Brody Foley, and star offensive linemen Eryx Daugherty.
