Louisville basketball currently sits in third place in the ACC with a 20-6 record, and a 13-2 ACC record.

Cardinals are currently tied with Clemson in ACC standings, and hold the head-to-head over the Tigers, but Duke is in first with a 15-1 ACC record, and 23-3 overall record for the season, and the Tigers have the head-to-head over Duke. And of course Duke has the head-to-head over Louisville which could potentially cause chaos if Duke slips up.

Pat Kelsey has led this Cardinals team to a historic season so far, and has completley flipped the program around. Cardinals are on pace to win their most ACC games in a season, and could potentially secure ACC crown for first time in program history.

With just five games remaining Cardinals are 1.5 back from Duke, but if someone is a betting man and want to look to win money, it might be worth glancing over ACC odds and trying to strike gold with Louisville basketball.

With Just five games remaining, Duke Blue Devils seem to be a lock for ACC season champion, however with Louisville easier schedule compared to Duke's and Clemson, the Cardinals could sneak right up and place first.

The Cardinals are currently given the third best odds to win the ACC, according to Draft Kings, as Duke is a -1000, Clemson is +900, and Louisville is +1500.

Duke has to play Illinois, Wake Forest, and at UNC remaining, where as the Cardinals three toughest opponents are all at home, and Stanford, Cal and Pitt. Blue Devils have just a single game lead on the Cardinals, and if Duke is able to just slip up one time than the tie-breakers are in play and it gets confusing.

Cardinals own a tiebreaker over Clemson, and Clemson owns tiebreaker over Duke, and Duke owns tiebreaks over Louisville. The three-way tiebreaker would be complicated for the ACC to work out, and if betting man Duke has shown some flaws, which should give a reason to sprinkle on Cardinals for a big payout.

If someone was to bet $10 on Louisville to win the regular season ACC crown, they would win $150, and meaning if someone is confident in Duke to slip up, if someone bets $100 then the payout is $1,500.

If someone was to bet on Duke, they would win 83 cents if they placed a $10 bet, and win $8.33 if they placed $100 bet. With these odds, it just doesn't make sense to bet on the Blue Devils, but with the Cardinals easier schedule and recent domination as they have won 14 of last 15, it is worth glancing over at the ACC odds, and possibly even putting faith in Louisville to try and get lucky and strike gold.

Cardinals are home tomorrow at noon ET against Florida State. Pat Kelsey and his Cardinals look to etch their names in history books and secure the first ACC crown in program history.
