Louisville basketball’s season is just a few weeks away, and with media day behind us, Cardinals fans are eager to get started. Louisville fans heard Pat Kelsey, Flory Bidunga, and Adrian Wooley, and after hearing a few things from each, it is clear this team is hungry and eyeing a National Championship.
Flory Bidunga just gave Louisville fans another reason to believe in Pat Kelsey
Bidunga transferred to Louisville after playing his first two seasons at Kansas. The Former Jayhawk comes off his best season, when he won Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and made the All-Big 12 First Team.
When asked about his decision to leave Kansas and one of the best coaches in college basketball, Bill Self, Bidunga had nothing positive to say about the Jayhawks, but quickly shifted to Louisville and how he believes this year will be special.
Flory Bidunga is giving Louisville fans to believe
When Bidunga announced he was entering the Transfer Portal, he quickly became the portal's top transfer. He was ranked the No. 1 overall transfer and was a unanimous 5-star, and Kelsey quickly targeted the athletic rim protector.
Now, he is closing in on his official debut with Louisville, and when asked about his decision to leave Kansas, he made it clear he is all-in on Kelsey and Louisville.
“I came here to Louisville; obviously they have a great culture, and I feel like we can do something great with Pat Kelsey," stated Bidunga earlier this week.
Flory Bidunga asked at ACC Media Days about leaving Kansas - is very complimentary of KU, but also then immediately turns it to UofL.

Kelsey has quickly flipped this UofL basketball program around since he arrived, and landing a player like Bidunga proves that. The 5-star transfer averaged 13.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game last season and shot 64 percent from the field.
There is a lot to be excited about this upcoming season, but Bidunga gets a lot of the attention, and reasonably so. And after Media Day, Louisville fans heard how excited Bidunga is for the upcoming season, and he said he believes this team can do something great, which has Cardinals fans even more excited for the season.
It's hard to argue with what Bidunga is saying. Louisville has a huge opportunity this year, as Kelsey landed the top-ranked transfer portal class. In addition to Bidunga, he also landed multiple 4-star transfers, including two former 5-star recruits in Jackson Shelstad and Karter Knox.
He added frontcourt depth with 4-star transfer Alvaro Folgueiras, who can space the floor and plays power forward, along with 5-star freshman Obinna Ekezie Jr., who looks jacked since joining Louisville this offseason. While, also bringing back key role player from last year, Adrian Wooley, and UNC transfer Seth Trimble.
So, this roster is loaded with talent, and Bidunga has every right to believe they can win it all. Louisville fans are starving for a National Championship, and Bidunga is reassuring them that this could be the year.
