The Florida Gators are coming off a massive letdown in Week 2 after they fell to USF 18-16. The Gators quickly dropped from the rankings and are now unranked as they sit 1-1, but they have a crucial showdown in Week 3 for their SEC and College Football Playoff dreams.
Florida will travel to Death Valley to take on Brian Kelly's LSU Tigers, who boast a 2-0 record after an impressive win over Dabo Swinney's Clemson Tigers in Week 1. The Gators and Tigers showdown is one of many exciting games this weekend, and one of the biggest headlines going into this blockbuster SEC showdown is that former Louisville football commit Caleb Banks is no longer on the injury report, making many believe he will be on the field Saturday night.

Caleb Banks escapes injury report ahead of LSU showdown
Banks missed the first two games of the 2025 season from a fall camp injury that took place in July. The former Cardinals commit is expected to be one of the best defensive linemen this upcoming season, as the once 3-star commit is now a projected top 15 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Florida's head coach, Billy Napier, has not confirmed he is a full go for Saturday, but Banks' escape from the injury report is a massive step and the first sign that the dominant defensive linemen will make their 2025 debut for the Florida Gators.
The 6-foot-6 and 330-pound linemen was recently ranked as a top 50 player in College Football by ESPN after his impressive few seasons with Florida. He has a total of 42 tackles, including 18 solo tackles, 6.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one pass deflection.
Kelly and the Tigers are quickly game planning for Banks, as last season, the former Louisville commit had a field day against LSU, where he logged three tackles, including a tackle for a loss, and dominated the trenches. Banks should be good to go today, and Florida fans cannot wait for the defensive star to make his debut in Death Valley.
