Former Louisville football star and fan favorite Ashton Gillotte put on an absolute show in last night's preseason game for the Kansas City Chiefs in their 29-27 loss to the Chicago Bears.
Gillotte was one of the most dominant Louisville Cardinals in a long time as he went on to earn 130 total tackles in four years. The Chiefs selected him in the third round and as the No. 66 overall pick, and have incredibly high potential for him in his rookie season.
He is now making his presence known in preseason as he just turned heads with how quickly he was able to get off the line and blow up the Bears' play and running back.

The Cardinals' nation has seen a play like this a lot in the past, and the Chiefs are hoping for more of it. He finished the game with two tackles, both being solos, and both being tackles for a loss.
The Chiefs' rookie dominated his tenure when he was at Louisville, especially his junior season. In 2023, Gillotte really made a name for himself when he logged 45 total tackles, 14.5 tackles for a loss, 11.0 sacks, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.
His 11.0 sacks led the ACC, were No. 8 in college football that season, and are the ninth most sacks in a single season in program history. The 6-foot-3 270 270-pound star went on to earn First-Team All-ACC honors and was the runner-up for ACC Defensive Player of the Year. He also earned All-American honors as he received multiple votes for the second team.
The Chiefs will now shift their preparation to Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers on Friday, September 5.
