Louisville football keeps their season alive
The Cardinals needed this win. Louisville was coming off a loss to Virginia in heartbreaking style, but the nation now knows about Jeff Brohm and his ability to win these big-time games. Brohm is the ultimate giant killer, boasting an impressive 4-2 record against top-5 teams in the nation, and Miami is now the latest victim.
Brohm is one of the smartest coaches in the game, and he has shown up time and time again in these big-time games, no matter what program he is coaching. With Purdue, he took down the No. 2 and No. 3 teams in the nation in 2021 and took down No. 2 Ohio State in 2018. With Louisville, he defeated No. 10 Notre Dame and Miami in 2023 and earned the program's first win over No. 11 Clemson last year.
Now, he just secured Louisville's biggest road win in program history, and he did it to keep the Cards' season alive. This Cardinals team has grit and fight in it, and that is what the fans love to watch. They have shown that all season long, and last night against one of the best teams in the nation, Brohm rallied his troops and found a way to win.
A win of this magnitude, and the Cardinals were undoubtedly going to see former players react on social media. It is always fun to see former stars interact with the current teams, and seeing last night these three stars and many others give Brohm, Chris Bell, and this team as a whole the flowers they deserve was something the fans hope they see more of.
