Louisville football continues to recruit heavily in its own state, as the Cardinals landed their second Kentucky commitment yesterday. Jeff Brohm and Vince Marrow have made it clear they recruit extremely hard in two states, Ohio and, of course, Kentucky.
Yesterday, Louisville landed a 3-star recruit in the 2027 recruiting class, Sebastian Blue. The in-state recruit commits to the Cardinals during Louisville’s annual Junior Day. Louisville has now landed two Kentucky natives' commitments in the 2027 class, bringing its total to five.

The other Kentucky native to commit to Louisville is the 4-star Allen Evans, who ranks as high as No. 39 in the 2027 recruiting class. The other three commitments in the 2027 class include three 4-stars in wide receiver Chuck Alexander, quarterback Jack Sorgi, and tight end D'Angelo White.

Blue commits to Louisville, ranked as high as the state’s eighth-best recruit and No. 747 in the 2027 recruiting class. Blue is a local commitment, as he has committed to the Cardinals as a Louisville native who currently attends Trinity High School, just miles down the road.
Blue is teammates with Evans as the two Cardinals' commitment led Trinity High School to a 13-2 record and the State Championship. Blue logged 39 total tackles, including nine sacks and seven tackles for a loss. On top of that, the 6-foot-3, 260-pound defensive lineman earned one fumble recovery. As for his sophomore season in 2024, the 3-star commitment recorded 21 total tackles, seven sacks, two tackles for loss, and recovered two fumbles for Trinity.
Louisville’s five commitments have the Cardinals' 2027 recruiting class ranked as high as No. 11 in the nation. Brohm and Marrow hope to hear some more good news after their annual Junior Day.
