Louisville football continues its 2027 recruiting surge as the Cardinals secured their sixth commitment in the 2027 recruiting class last night. Jeff Brohm and Vince Marrow continue to heavily recruit the Florida area, as Cornelius Tims III announced his commitment to the Louisville Cardinals.
Tims is the Cardinals' sixth commitment of the 2027 recruiting class, as Louisville has been extremely active early on. Marrow and Brohm have already landed four 4-stars in Allen Evans, Chuck Alexander, Jack Sorgi, and D’Angelo White, while also landing 3-star Sebastian Blue. Now, Tims will join this elite 2027 class and will hopefully be one of many to commit to Louisville this spring.

Louisville football stays red-hot in the 2027 recruiting class
Tims commits to Louisville after a dominant season at South Fort Myers, out of Fort Myers, Florida. The defensive lineman went on to secure 74 total tackles, including 11 tackles for a loss and six sacks. He also forced a fumble and helped guide his team to the quarterfinals in his junior season.
The Cardinals were the first school to make an offer to Tims back in May of 2025. The newest Cardinal commit visited Louisville last spring and later called Louisville his “home”.
Louisville earned his commitment over many Power Four programs, as Syracuse, Kansas, Boston College, UCF, West Virginia, and others extended offers to the 6-foot-4, 285-pound defensive tackle. He took multiple visits to the Miami Hurricanes as well and drew interest, but never received an offer.
Louisville recently promoted Mark Ivey to Co-Defensive Coordinator and to lead the defensive line. Ivey already landed a commitment early in his DC days, and hopefully, Ivey and Louisville can go get the No. 100 overall recruit and one of the best defensive linemen in the class, Malachi Brown. The Kentucky native is ranked No. 2 from the state and has received offers from elite programs like Alabama, Miami, and Ohio State.
The Cardinals' six commitments put them ranked as high as No. 11 in Rivals' 2027 recruiting class rankings. For all the latest recruiting news and updates for Louisville football, stay tuned.
