With Louisville’s favorable schedule, Joel Klatt recently made a bold statement about the Cardinals, making more Louisville fans love the Cardinals' chances of making the College Football Playoffs.

Recently, Klatt talked about 10 teams ranked outside of the top 10 that have a legitimate chance of making the playoffs. Among those 10 teams was Louisville, and Klatt went so far as to say Louisville has the best chance of making the playoffs among the ten teams he listed.
“If I was to pick one team from this list that I am like they are almost definitley (making it), I think it is Louisville,” stated Klatt.
Klatt loves the 'Cardinals' remaining schedule, reminding everyone that Louisville’s win over SMU puts them in a prime position to run the table and meet Miami in the ACC Championship Game. The Cards don't play Miami, Virginia, Clemson, or Duke in the regular season, and Klatt said he believes the Cardinals' toughest game is now their last one on the road in Lexington against Kentucky.
Not only did Louisville beat SMU, and they look like a major challenger to Miami’s hopes of winning the ACC Title, but the Cardinals are passing the eye test early and look like a legit playoff contender. They took Ole Miss to the final seconds and played the Rebels closer than LSU did.
Plus, this offense is looking like one of the best units in the country. Lincoln Kienholz is earning high praise as one of the top quarterbacks in the country, and this running back room continues to improve, showing why they are one of the best duos in college football.
There is a lot to like about this Louisville team, and Klatt is one of the recent analysts to hop on the train. The playoff hype is real, and the path is clear. Now, Brohm just has to make sure Louisville takes care of business and wins the games he is supposed to win.
