Louisville football's 2025 season is approaching us quickly, as their first week showdown with Eastern Kentucky from L&N Stadium is just three weeks away. The Cardinals have high expectations as they enter into Jeff Brohm's third season as Louisville's head coach, and one of the main reasons is the offense's explosive nature.
The Cardinals have key returners on the offensive side to help make this offense not just one of the best in the ACC, but in the nation. The only group to go against this explosive offense so far is the Cardinals' defense, and one of their star transfers, JoJo Evans, just revealed how dominant this offense can be.
While the Cardinals offense has high expecatations, their defense is where fans get scared. Evans is quick to tell us that this defense is going up one of the best units in the country, and that is shaping this defense to exceed all expectations in the 2025 season.

Brohm's offense is quickly trending to be an elite high-scoring offense for a third straight season. Coming off a season where Louisville was the only program to score 24 points or more in every season, the Cardinals' 2025 offense has similar expectations and higher potential.
While fans have been hyping up this offense all offseason and have been getting 10-second clips of teasers as to how dominant Brohm's offense can be, it is always more exciting to hear first-hand from opponents as to how good this offense is.
Evans was recently interviewed following a practice, and when he was asked about the offense, he didn't just praise how good it is, but compared it to a magic trick.
"Every day is like you watching a magic trick out there," Evans stated with a big smile on his face. "It gets you more confident because if you ask us, we have one of the best offenses in the nation, and so we play them every day, so you're only going to get better. And then the running backs are like, if we can run with those guys, we can run with anybody."
The Cardinals' defense has some areas of concern, but this defense has been battle-tested all fall camp, and this explosive offense is making this defense better every practice. Louisville's defense playing against this high-flying offense is the best way to prepare them for this upcoming season.
The Cardinals' defense is going up against one of the best offenses in the nation, and definitely one of the best running back rooms in the country. Louisville's offense is loaded with talent, and with the defense having new faces from top to bottom, Brohm is quickly showing off his "magic tricks" and getting that defense prepared for the regular season.
Louisville has its eyes on an ACC Title, and, as Evans stated, this offense is the real deal. It is the defense that fans are worried about. So, it is excellent to hear that this offense is challenging the defense and keeping them on their heels.
The Cardinals' defense has been getting better and better, according to coaches and players, and if they want to beat teams like Miami and Clemson, then Ron English and Mark Hagen's defense must step up and get big-time stops.
This defense has the potential to become a dominant force, and after going head-to-head with Brian Brohm's offense all offseason, this defense should exceed all expectations, as this offense is far better than many of Louisville's opponents.
