Louisville basketball's showdown with Kansas is just under two weeks away, and the Cardinals' fans cannot wait to watch this Pat Kelsey squad take the court. Louisville had one of the best offseasons in the nation, landing three top-20 players from the Transfer Portal and the No. 1 point guard in the 2025 recruiting class.

Louisville has one of the best backcourts in the nation, and the fans truly believe this team is poised to break multiple records this season. Louisville hasn't won a March Madness game since 2017, and the Cardinals haven't made the Final Four since 2013, when they won the whole thing.

As the season quickly approaches, the AP Polls have been released for the preseason, and, well, Louisville fans are not happy.

Louisville fans outraged after being snubbed from top 10

The Cards were once again disrespected in the AP Polls as Louisville will enter the 2025-26 season ranked No. 11 in the nation. The fans expressed their immediate disappointment after the news broke that they should be higher.

Many fans expressed that preseason rankings don't mean anything, and after November 11, they will truly care about their ranking. The Cardinals have Kansas on October 24 in a blockbuster preseason showdown, and then Kentucky on November 11.

The AP voters will have two massive opportunities to see how real this Cardinals team is before mid-November. However, the fans made it clear that they think they should be ranked way higher than No. 11.

The Duke Blue Devils are the highest-ranked team in the ACC, currently ranked No. 6, and the Kentucky Wildcats are ranked No. 9. Other notable rankings include Purdue, ranked No. 1, and Texas Tech, which rounds out the top 10 at No. 10. The AP rankings just set the Cardinals up for statement first month of basketball and gave Louisville the motivation they needed.
