Louisville basketball earns crucial vist from Jaxon Richardson
Richardson has been one of Louisville's top targets for quite some time now, but the Cardinals started to gain a lot of momentum after they made the 5-star final 10. The Cardinals are in a recruiting battle now with the five schools listed above, who also received visits, and Cincinnati, Michigan, Villanova, and Seton Hall.
Louisville extended its offer earlier this year in January, but began recruiting Richardson in the early fall of 2024. They then quickly received a visit in February for a gameday visit against Florida State, and now will earn yet another visit before he ultimately makes his commitment.
Louisville has one of the best chances to land the 5-star, but Alabama currently has the best odds according to On3 Sports. Louisville has the fourth-best percentage, but after they earn the last visit of this tour, the Cardinals fans are hoping Pat Kelsey can work some magic and earn his first commitment of the 2026 recruiting class.
The 6-foot-6 200 200-pound forward is a dominant two-way wing as he averaged 13.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game while shooting 63.4 percent from the floor. Richardson is ranked as high as No. 11 in the nation and the fourth-best small forward, per ESPN rankings.
