Pat Kelsey is officially a magician. The Louisville Cardinals just found out they landed a unanimous 4-star prospect, Isaac McKneely, per Joe Tipton. The Virginia transfer will join an elite backcourt in Mikel Brown Jr., Ryan Conwell, and Adrian Wooley.

Last season, the sharpshooter averaged 14.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists while connecting on 3.5 three-pointers per game while shooting 42.1 percent from the 3-point line.

McKneely is ranked as high as the No. 9 overall player who entered the transfer portal this offseason. This commitment is monumental, as now Kelsey has landed three guards in every recruiting website's top 15. The Cardinals' offseason is ranked No. 1 by 247Sports.

The Cardinals' glaring concern entering next season was the shooting guard position. Well, Kelsey listened to the fans and just landed three of the top 10 guards available in the transfer portal, according to 247Sports rankings.

Brown, Conwell, McKneely, and Wooley are a backcourt that exceeded all expectations when the portal opened. It was recently reported that Tennessee emerged towards the top for McKneely, and after Conwell committed, many fans thought McKneely was going to commit to the Volunteers.

Kelsey was expected to spend up to $10 million this offseason. The Cardinals are now entering the National Championship contenders conversation for the 2025-26 season as Louisville will be loaded in the guard position.

The 6-foot-4, 190-pound guard is an absolute sniper from beyond the arc. He has one of the best releases in college basketball and can knock down the 3-pointer off the dribble or off the pass.

The elite 3-point specialist started in every game for the past two seasons and splashed 182 threes on 43.3 percent from the 3-point line. Last season, he splashed 101 threes, including a career-high seven in one game. McKneely scored 20 points or more in eight games last season, including his season-high 27-point performances against Florida State and Georgia Tech.
