Shooting Guard

  1. Adrian Wooley
  2. Isaac McKneely

An area Louisville lacked and struggled last year was their 3-point shooting. The Cardinals relied heavily on Reyne Smith, but other than Smith, Louisville didn't have many knockdown 3-point shooters. Louisville shot 970 3-pointers last season and only made 33 percent of them.

The Cardinal's biggest area of need was at the shooting guard position, as fans were begging Kelsey to address this glaring area of need. Well, ask, and you shall receive, as Louisville will add two of the best shooting guards from last season from the transfer portal.

5-star Adrian Wooley and 4-star Isaac McKneely will lead Kelsey's shooting guards. Wooley transfers in from Kennesaw State after averaging 18.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard had a tremendous freshman season, as he averaged
2.2 3-pointers per game on 42 percent shooting from downtown. He is a top 10 player in the transfer portal, having splashed 73 3-pointers last season and earned C-USA Freshman of the Year and All-Conference USA First Team honors.

Behind Wooley will be one of the best sharpshooters in the nation and a player the Cardinals have played multiple times, Isaac McKneely. The 4-star transfer comes in from the University of Virginia, as McKneely is a certified 3-point specialist. He made 233 3-pointers, ranking him in the top five in Cavaliers history, and he did it in just three years, with an impressive shooting split, as he made 42 percent of his shots from downtown.
