Small Forward
- Ryan Conwell
- J'Vonne Hadley
- Khani Rooths
The small forward position is where the depth chart becomes trickier to predict. The Cardinals starting small forward will be their 4-star transfer, Ryan Conwell. The Xavier transfer is a consensus top-25 player in the transfer portal after his tremendous season with the Musketeers.
Conwell will bring elite shooting and form one of the best backcourts in the nation, starting alongside Brown and Wooley. Last season, he made the All-Big East Third Team after being the seventh-leading scorer with 16.5 points per game. The 6-foot-4 guard shot 45 percent from the floor and 41.3 percent from beyond the arc last season and splashed 99 3-pointers.
J'Vonne Hadley is going to bounce between small forward and power forward, but as of now, we predict that the veteran senior will come off the bench and support Conwell. Hadley is an elite defender and can shoot from beyond the arc, but at 6-foot-6, he usually can back his defender down or drive to the basket for easy buckets.
Behind Conwell and Hadley will be Khani Rooths, who had a solid, true freshman season. The former 4-star recruit averaged 3.3 points and 3.0 rebounds but was a crucial player off the bench. Rooths is a player who will contribute to the Cardinals' depth this upcoming season, and his potential is exceptionally high for the future.
