Pat Kelsey not only is making history in his first season as head coach, but he is also securing Louisville basketball as top tier landing spot for four and five-star recruits.
Jaxon Richardon, a unanimous 5-star prospect out of Miami, Fla., will visit KFC Yum! Center and the Louisville basketball program this Saturday for the Cardinals showdown against Florida State, per Dushawn London.
Richardson is the son of NBA Slam Dunk Champion, Jason Richardson, and is currently ranked as a unanimous top 25 prospect in the class of 2026. He currently attends Columbus High School, and was seen dominating the court last year as he averaged 14.6 points per game, 5.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.2 blocks a game.
Not only do those numbers speak for itself, when diving deeper, Cardinals fans will fall in love with his shooting splits as he shot the ball at an inane 63.8% from the field and 35.0% from downtown.
Louisville Basketball recruiting is close to elite

Both prospects are unanimous 5-star prospects and are in every basketball recruiting site top 10.

As for the class of 2026, they have a chance to be even better then their class of 2025, which sounds insane. Louisville basketball is currently favorited by On3Sports to land the consensus No.1 overall prospect, Tyran Stokes, as they gives the Cardinals a dominant 66.8% chance
Cardinals are also in the running for Jordan Smith Jr., where he comes in as a consensus top 6 recruit for the class of 2026, and is the No.1 ranked shooting guard of the elite class.
