Louisville basketball defeated Georgia Tech inside the KFC Yum! Center yesterday as Mikel Brown Jr. led the Cardinals with 19 points while shooting 50 percent from the field. Louisville has now won six of its last seven and eight of its last ten, and continues to trend in the right direction as it gets closer to the postseason.
Louisville has just four games remaining, three of which are on the road and against projected NCAA Tournament teams. While North Carolina is still a huge game and the Tar Heels are still a top-25 team, without Caleb Wilson, it certainly feels like a game the Cardinals have a good chance of winning on the road in Chapel Hill, as ESPN gives the Cardinals a 61.1 percent chance.
There is another game that continues to look harder and harder, and it isn’t the game with UNC or Clemson, but it's their last game against Miami.

One Louisville basketball game continues to look bigger
Miami continues to impress and raise eyebrows as the Hurricanes currently sit 21-6 overall and 10-4 in conference play. The Canes went on the road to play No. 14 Virginia yesterday, and while Miami fell just short, losing by three to a top-15 team, this team is no pushover.
Right now, the Canes sit in third place in the ACC standings and are just one game ahead of the Cardinals, who are 20-7 on the season and 9-5 in conference games. Before the Canes' loss to UVA, they won four straight, including an impressive win over UNC, which Wilson played in and scored 12 points on 40 percent shooting in 26 minutes.
The Cardinals' final four games have major implications, and while many are circling the UNC and Clemson showdowns, with the Tar Heels without Wilson and Clemson recently losing four straight, it is this Miami game that continues to draw more attention, with the Canes continuing to impress.
Louisville has to take care of business and find ways to beat North Carolina on Monday and Clemson on Saturday, but with Miami continuing to surge at the right time, this showdown between Louisville and Miami is trending toward being a game that decides who gets the double bye and plays on Thursday and who gets a single bye and plays on Wednesday.
The Cardinals are seed hunting at the moment, and with games against UNC, Clemson, and Miami still on their schedule, plus the ACC Tournament, this Cardinals team has major opportunities to climb in the ACC standings and the NCAA Tournament seedings.
